There are several procedures available for treating aging skin.
- Pulsed Light Therapy
Find out more about
Pulsed Light Therapy...
Pulsed Light Therapy is one of the newer non-invasive treatments, which can successfully
treat brown marks, red veins, and other age related changes of the skin. It is
also effective in treating many forms of skin discoloration, facial redness,
flushing and open pores.
- Fraxel Laser Treatment
Find out more about Fraxel Laser Treatment...
FRAXEL Laser Treatment produces thousands of tiny but deep columns of treatment
in your skin, known as microthermal treatment zones. This treatment eliminates
old epidermal pigmented cells. It also peneterates deeply into the dermis. For
every microthermal zone the laser targets and treats intensively, it leaves the
surrounding tissue unaffected and intact. This "fractional" treatment allows
the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using
the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue to replace skin
imperfections.
- Fillers and Frown Relaxant
Find out more about Wrinkle Removal...
Each time we smile or frown we create lines in our face. These are
often known as frown lines or crows feet. With technology now we can remove wrinkles
by injecting
frown relaxant into the
affected area. This acts to relax the muscles, making them unable to move to
the degree they normally do.
- Laser Resurfacing
More about laser resurfacing...
Laser resurfacing is commonly used for acne scarring. Usually the Erbium
YAG laser or CO2 laser is used, and the top layers of the skin are removed. New
skin forms after 7-10 days, while improvement in the acne scars occur over the
following 3 months.
Laser resurfacing is a relatively invasive procedure requiring 10-14 days
off work, followed by redness, which lasts at least 6-8 weeks. Because it is
not possible to Laser down to the level of the acne scars, improvement is limited
to approximately 40-50% improvement. Results can be further improved with the
use of filling agents. There are a number of risks associated with laser resurfacing
including changes in the skin pigment and scarring.
- Photo Dynamic Therapy
More about PDT...
Photodynamic Therapy is one of the newer techniques that uses a cream
and light to treat sun damaged skin, skin cancers, aging, acne, and sun spots.
It is non surgical, non invasive and produces excellent cosmetic results.
